Founded in 2002 by the visionary Steve Bishop and his wife Suzie, their legacy of innovation and heartfelt connection to the land remains. In part, we chose our name to honour Steve, the man who was larger than life and led with his heart. Paired with the islands unspoiled beauty and the countless hearts drawn to its charm, we became Hornby Heart.
Today, the Hornby Heart family is a tapestry of passionate
individuals — winemakers, farmers, artists, and chefs, all with a unique set of talents and love for their craft.
Our five acres of vines, which give harvest to Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Turan grapes, are tended by our talented winemaker, Amy Baugh. The result — small batches of hand crafted and bottled wine, made with love on Hornby.
We believe in nourishing community spirit by celebrating the people, their dreams, and the journeys that led them here. We're a heart-led operation, dedicated to sustainable practices that honour this beautiful island that we call home.
Beyond the vineyard our tasting room, food lounge and accommodations are all ways that we extend our offerings to the community.
